The new school building’s dimensions, alignment and the positioning of its entrances are adapted to the existing urban development situation, which is determined by the railway tracks and the public thoroughfares in the east and the future large-volume residential buildings in the north, west and south of the construction site. The building's compact structure in the middle of the new residential quarter articulates itself through its design as the heart of the quarter. The greened X-shaped columns of the concrete structure lend significance and distinction to this educational building amidst a heterogeneous environment without any particular identity features. At the same time, they form part of a comprehensive package of measures to improve the microclimate and adapt to climate change.
