More than 30 years of experience and expertise in the field of architecture in its entire, multifaceted spectrum of application form the basis of our architectural office, which was founded in 1988 by Michael Schluder and Hanns Kastner under the name of “Archtekturbüro Schluder/Kastner” (Schluder/Kastner architectural office) in Vienna. After Hans Kastner – who, in the meantime, has become an experienced real estate expert – had moved to Berlin in 2002 to work in the field of project development, the office, now under the sole direction of Michael, was renamed and has been operating under the name of Schluder Architektur ever since.
In interaction with neighbouring and related disciplines and arts, we are open to any and all planning and construction tasks, from furniture design and interior planning to all areas of building construction and urban design. Our holistic approach also implies research as an integral part of our work. Starting in 2008, the office and its research partners were able, among other things, to make a highly regarded contribution to large-volume urban construction with wood as part of the multi-phase research project named eightplus. In addition to residential construction, the field of educational construction on all scales from kindergarten to educational campus for over 1,300 pupils has become a focal point of our work.
Our office philosophy is characterised by team spirit and the ability to engage in dialogue as well as by a professional approach to work and the joy of creation. Since 2021, the office has been known as Schluder Architekten ZT-GmbH.
