Adaptation of a prototype which Dietrich|Untertrifaller and the VorarIberg construction firm i+ R Schertler had developed for serial production as a timber frame System. It was necessary to have the Vorarlberg project as a reference in order to convince the Viennese authorities responsible, of the feasibility and efficiency of a kindergarten built using prefabricated timber elements. The advantages of a timber frame are a high degree of prefabrication, low transport volume and weight and a short construction period. The building was realized in a briefer period than which would have been required by the originally envisaged solution of using a container.
