The project is a replacement building for the kindergarten erected by Franz Schuster in the residential complex Schöpfwerk, dating back to the 1950s. It is characterized by its cautious drawing on modernity and a high degree of social responsibility even though, then, social responsibility was interpreted in a correspondingly economical if not sparing way. Therefore, the further development of the timber construction system used in the centre in Anton-Schall-Gasse atmospherically integrates into the surrounding area, yet also clearly displays its date of origin, i.e. end of the 1990s. The basis for this concept is pavilion-like, functional units.
