Held under the motto “Subobject …or between subject and object“, the exhibition presented by Michael Schluder and Sergej Nikoljski within the framework of the “Biennale di Venezia“ is dedicated to and characterised by the spirit of Venzia Laguna. The objects made of Eternit that are shown at the exhibition on Campo San Francesco della Vigna represent a new interpretation of the so-called “passarella”, the footbridges used in Venice in case of floods (acqua alta). The “subobject” represents a contradiction between intent and appearance; it is symbolic of the dialogue emerging from the difference between a concrete object and the images it triggers.
