with Tabanlioglu Architects and Werner Sobek
At the address Rathausstraße 1 we are about to erect a top quality, modern and sustainable office building in accordance with the construction guidelines of the historic city hall quadrangle. The open ground floor will be designed as an open market place with a vibrant and dynamic shopping mall. It opens into the city area with the pedestrian zones around Rathausstraße, Doblhofgasse and Stadiongasse.
In order to structure the construction complex and to provide natural light for the rooms in the building’s interior, two glass-covered light atriums stretching from east to west have been integrated into the building, The activities taking place inside the house are visible from outside by way of the glass façades of the light atriums while the plinth area provides interactivity between the building and the public space.
